June 14, 2002, Newsletter Issue #47: Keep Basins Clean, too!

Tip of the Week

The trick is to strip the paint out with little effort. I have heard of using steradent tablets (the same as those used for dentures) and the dishwasher (it doesn`t do a bad job), but I have found that you need to soften the paint with the warmth of some really hot water and put in a little elbow grease with a pot scrubber and you`re done...no waiting for steradent overnight or a full dishwashing cycle. I guess if you used the dishwasher and pulled the basin out before it had time to cool, you could get the rest off in the same way while the basin is nice and hot. The heat softens the paint and makes it easy to remove!
